DENISE'S STORY

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Denise grew up surrounded by a musical family and couldn't imagine doing anything else with her life other than performing. She would watch "Fame" on TV as a kid and dream of gracing stages across the world, so she made it her goal to attend the real life acclaimed "Fame" H.S. in Manhattan which the show was based on. She is a very proud vocal alumnae (LaG '94) and has been performing ever since.

Her chameleonic traits have led her to perform with bands ranging in genres from top 40 pop to blues, R&B to hard rock, soul, and golden oldies favorites.  She's the newest crew member of GILLIGAN YACHT ROCK as "Mary Ann", and also works with phenomenal bands such as REAL DIAMOND BAND, a tribute to Neil Diamond, SOUL SEDUCTION and many more at some of the best venues in New Jersey and beyond.

Denise has had the unique opportunity to work with prominent artists in the industry, opening for some widely known artists including ABBA, Jordan Knight, and Tavares at worldly known venues such as BB KING NYC and Cabo Wabo Cantina in Mexico. On her downtime from band performance, she immersed herself within regional theater and became a locally known “National Anthem” singer for 6 consecutive years. She sang for both the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Staten Island Yankees.

In the early '90's, Denise co-wrote two albums with her original band, "Burgundy”, achieving substantial local acclaim (engineered by guitar and musical genius, Bumblefoot). Having played during the once-legendary music scene on Bleecker St. at venues such as The Elbow Room & Kenny’s Castaways, she is proud to say she touched upon such iconic arenas in her hometown at the start of her music career.

Denise is honored to have worked with so many incredible bands over the years. She continues to support local artists and friends, and she is always looking to expand her musical family!
